Who are we to judge?

http://www.silk.net/RelEd/Year%20C/7c.htm

We as human are so much quick to judge and point fingers at others, but on the real who are we to pass judgement? it seems like we are always waiting for people to mess up and then we can cut them into pieces without looking on the situation from all angles. It is just how we are, is it really in our human nature to be so judgemental? We especially girls like to judge and we would give so many reason why we judge.

  • There is a problem with that person
  • I am better than everybody else

The media is not doing us any justice, there are so many shows that cut people into tiny pieces just because they have done something or they have wore the wrong dress according to them. Makes me wonder if we are so quick to judge who judges us?.A lady once said to me you can continue to point fingers at others and continue to judge to make yourself feel good but remember one thing a hand has five fingers and out of the five fingers only one finger is pointing at that person the rest are pointing back at you.
To me it seems as if we judge because we have nothing better with our time so we spend it gossiping and looking at things that do not concern us,  I believe it is a choice we choose to be ignorant and we choose to act like we are better than the others but are we really? the question I always have at the back of my mind. Who are we to judge? Are we so perfect that we have nothing to be judged about? Always remember that when you pass judgement somebody out there is passing judgement onto you....."Do not judge others for it shall be passed onto you" My favourite quote
"just my opinion"

If I were the boss

A  thought that crosses everybody's mind. I can think of many things that people would do if they were to become bosses myself included:

  • "Call me madam
  • Make me coffee
  • Make everyone's life a nightmare
  • Make everyone do all the work and take credit for all the work"
For some of us these are the things that were done to us when we started to work. I know I would do so many things starting from giving everyone so mush work, it could last them a lifetime. On the other side I wouldn't want to be a bad boss, I would like to the kind of boss that I never had.
I would be:
  • Available
  • Hands on
  • Give credit where its due
  • Put my employees first
  • Supportive
  • Throw tantrums every now and then
So many times I hear people say that if they would become boss they would fire most of the people in the company and be the kind of boss that will be not approachable, and make most people lives a living hell, just because their boss has made their lives unbearable. But is that right? Is it right to punish people for the things that were done to by your previous bosses? When employees are unhappy it is a given that the productivity won't be satisfactory because employees are not happy. Eventually you will be left with no employees to shove around, and you will not have anyone you can take out your stress on because people  just don't want to work at an unpleasant workplace.

Two people come out of a building into a story

Everyday I go to school I walk past this building, not once have I seen a person coming out of this building, but on this day as I walked past as us usual I have my headphones on, something happened which made me look at this building.

At one glance I saw two black guys going out of the building so I was amazed because I have never seen anyone walking out of this building so I took special interest and asked what is that building used for and one said would you like to come and see what is it used for? amazed I looked at him and said no thank you, he laughed and I said I'm joking.

Little did I know that they were part of the syndicate, like usual I walk past there with my blackberry on my hand. It was one cold day when I saw two guys coming out of the same building wearing black clothes but I did not pay any attention, continued with my path a few seconds police vans surrounded the whole building with sirens so loud you could not even hear your self think, they were looking for the two guys I had saw earlier, I watched from the distance like everybody else.

I realised i was going to be late for my class so I left, a few kilometres from the scene I saw two dead bodies with guns next to them without knowing the details I knew that they were very bad.  People were very happy, but I asked myself why would you happy to see a person, gods creation die but then again I answer myself who wouldn't be? because their death meant they would be free, they won't be terrified to walk the streets. Makes me wonder why do people resorts to  crime?

Peer Pressure

http://reviews.in.88db.com/index.php/relationships/parenting/2086-peer-pressure-problems-how-to-deal

Peer Pressure is one of the biggest problems that we as students face especially if we want to be belong and be part of the coolest group on campus. This means that we must do certain things even if we don't feel very comfortable doing them but because I want to belong and I want to be accepted by the group I will do those things.

There are many factors that make us give in to peer pressure these are factors like
  • Lack of confidence
  • Poor academic  performance
  • Fear of others in my group
These are some of the factors that make most of us face when we go to universities, it is sometimes the choices we make, we face these problems because we want to be seen with the cool people and we want to belong so mush that we don things that goes against our morals and everything that we were taught by our parents.

But because we chose to make different choices not all of us fall on the trap of peer pressure. Is it because we cannot differentiate between wrong and right, I would like to think the fact that we are at University we are able to know what is right and wrong. We chose to be part of these groups because we want to pass but it does not matter at what cause.

Others belong to these groups because we want to be recognised and we want to be seen wearing the coolest clothes but at what cost do these clothes come with? Being part of the cool group on campus sometimes means missing classes and going clubbing. But we have to look at the problem from all angles.
  • Why do we do certain thing
Sometimes peer pressure can be positive but we as human beings chose to look at the negative part ,we all react differently to peer pressure this all depend on how we feel about ourselves and where we belong in the world.

Is studying really necessary?

Education is every thing not only is South Africa but the entire world, being educated means  that one can have access to anything regardless of the situation that one find himself in. Which means the saying that goes "education is the key to success" is true, but to what extent?

In our society a educated man is sometimes respected more than the man who dropped out of school in primary. Yet in some cases the illiterate or uneducated person is respected more than the educated man. "I stand to be corrected" .

We study so that we can have a better future, improve our living condition and to have a place in our society. But why study if you cannot be able to secure the job in the field in which you studied for, when the person next to is able to get the job without having any formal training.

I ask myself, what is education for if you cannot find a job and yet you are qualified, but then we live in a society where it is a norm for a person to study and get the qualification even if they won't be able to secure a suitable job.  I know of many people who are not educated or who don't have formal training and yet they have made a name for themselves, they are successful. Then i know of people who have studied, they have gone to tertiary and yet they cannot find a job. Why is this the case? Is education really necessary if you won't be able to secure a job even if you are qualified for that job and yet a not qualified person gets a job right in front of you....

How hard is it to follow instructions?

How hard is to follow instructions?

http://www.horsnhayesart.com

Following instruction or adhering to instructions can be a very tricky and hard thing,  it does not matter how old the person might be. We often say that people should learn to listen more intensively, sometimes we do listen and we do understand what is being said it is the acting that can be hard.

In some cases we don not understand the instructions at all, now how does a person follow instructions if they do not understand them?.
 we should ask ourselves

  • are the instructions clear enough?
  • Is it possible to understand and execute the instructions well?
  • Do they know what is required of the participator
  • Are one's listening skills good as they claim?

Once we can answer these questions we can then understand what needs to be done.  and then we can be able to see whether the problem is with the instructions or with the participator. I sometimes struggle to follow instructions, but i cannot blame the instructor, it might be that i do not understand the language used or i need more time.

In essence we have the will and the power to change the way we see and so things, it is up to us to change the way we think and with the right attitude and if we put our minds in whatever that we do we sure can get the best results.
